Meet Róisín.
She is a four year old Kerry Blue Terrier. She has titles in AKC for Obedience, Rally, tricks and her Canine Good Citizen. She is also a Champion in UKC conformation.
She comes with lots of challenges as a Terrier. One of our biggest challenges, she can be very environmentally sensitive. What I truly think is helping her, scent work. I have taken two classes in scent work at East Valley K9 to give my girl different exposure and confidence building by being able to solve scent work puzzles. Wren, who is our instructor is excellent. She knows how sensitive my dog can be, and she is a great reader of my dog and helps challenge my dog to gain confidence in her environment with scent work.
I truly believe this has helped her in different areas of our training as well. I see her being more confident in new locations and able to engage with me in shorter periods of time to work.
